The mission of the Dermatologymilitry Department at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS) is to educate and train medical students, graduate students, and physicians in the science of Dermatology to better prepare uniformed healthcare providers for combat, peacetime, and humanitarian missions; and to develop and support dermatology research programs relevant to the Uniformed Services.

We utilize a comprehensive curriculum, military dermatology resident training programs, and other hospitals to educate medical students, residents, physicians, and allied health professionals to care for patients with skin disorders. Our faculty members are active in military academic training centers and the larger Department of Defense health care network, as well as the Department of Veterans Affairs, the National Institutes of Health, and civilian medical organizations.
In addition to educating the next generation of uniformed physicians, our faculty members advance research through original investigations on campus and through collaborations. We are committed to advancing the field of dermatology through clinical expertise and research in the Army, Air Force, Navy, and U.S. Public Health Service.
